No, but having witnessed a person die when they hit a tree with the back of their head, I have to conclude that anyone who alpine skis without a helmet is a reckless moron.I would venture to say that you are a more advanced skier than myself & just about everybody else on the slope where you ski. It probably makes sense for you.
I might add that snowboarders should probably wear helmets. The very nature of that sport practically guarantees you're going to hit your backside from time to time, and so whip your neck or strike the back of the head. I wouldn't make it mandatory, however.

I do think that ski resorts should make helmets mandatory, however. I've thought that for a long time, but most resorts I've associated with seem to be willing to take the small risk of head trauma over alienating potential customers. If I owned a resort, I may hold the same view the resorts do now, however.
