I don't know what the judges want on that issue. If you see some of the metal and hard rock, everything they do is theatrical. Look at music videos.
I think Adam has done broadway musicals. He brought something to the show we haven't had in 7 previous years and I think it added to the competion.

My wife and I like his singing , and hope he wins. The rest of the Idol experience / presentation is entertainment. His personal life is his own business.
To us Danny & Chris can’t match his vocal skills.
As I’ve stated before we’d love to see the finalists all have to sing the same song.
Make it one that tests all of their range, and in our opinion Adam will be the clear winner
