Kris Allen & Danny Gokey

The first of two duets tonight. (Why?)

Anyway, Kris and Danny peform Styx's "Renegade". It's good, I just don't understand the point of it.

Randy: Let me say this, dude. I really like the harmonies. You guys complement each other greatly.

Kara: Renegades? They're like the guys that help the little old ladies cross the street. United and strong.

Paula: It was powerful and compelling. Good job.

Simon: (laughing--possibly at the ridiculousness of duets on this show) I don't know what to say. Who was better? Okay. Danny you were better than Kris. How's that?

Neither Danny or Kris seems to appreciate that.

Not sure why either.

But they keep messing with /changing the orig. show format.

Another shaky move.

I really like Kris, but this is not Kris’ genre.

Kris blew some vocal moments their were he could have shined. One of them should have grabbed the almost primal scream at the beginning of that song and ran with it. A wasted moment for both of them. Danny was making the most of his parts. He was way better than Kris on that.
