Hi guys. Just reading a little thread here and thought I'd toss in my two cents (not that you want to hear it). I believe the "save" will only be used on Lil Rounds (sp) or Adam.

Just wanted to get that out there before it happens so that I can look like a genius when it does. ;-)

I hear you there and I hope they don't use it myself. But I don't think they will use the SAVE myself for the reasons I listed. I think they put the save out there to dissuade the “Vote for the Worst Crowd” and a marketing strategy to get more press and more people voting. Hopefully that is it.

The SAVE will be too controversial unless it is a total whack-job night and a Sanjaya/JPL type gets more votes than say a CarrieUnderwood/DavidCook type or a heavy fan favorite(that is a good singer) with the Carrieunderwood/DavidCook type having a great night but not getting the votes needed for whatever reason and Sanjaya/JPL type getting through by putting their hair up in a mohawk or doing a funky dance step to get the underdog vote or the vote the worst crowd putting them over etc. And I gurantee that if they do the SAVE vote there will be a lot of focus group work that night before they do it. They will farm it anonymously but I am sure they are already doing it with "What if Scenarios" already saying just for fun asking the question to groups would they still watch Idol if they use it.

Last nite with Alexis, I wanted her to stay, but I know they were just throwing the SAVE out there for ratings. I don't see them burning it knowing how controversial it will be this early in the game. Just my opinion from a business prospective. Hey I could be totally wrong and they can go nuts and use the SAVE next week to get more press but they will be taking a risk with the viewers that are die hard voters if the SAVE'd one ends up blowing chunks instead singing like bird that wants it so bad they would make David Hasselfoff cry.(And just by have a great preformance by actually hurting him) J/K if you are a Baywatch lover. 8-)
