TARGET went out of business? I notice these photos are all taken in Illinois or Michigan. Target is booming in the southeast; there are new stores going up all the time.

Likely the local store closed down. We had a planned Target locally that got axed by Target corporate.

Too bad, I like their products, but not enough to drive an extra 20 miles.

It’s devastating here. Denny’s, Olive Garden, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Lonestar, Wally World, K-Mart, even McDonald’s have been boarded up in my area. And that’s just naming a few.

You never know about a photo essay like this. In my town, a Target closed a store because it moved to a new, much larger store about a mile away. The old store sits empty, and I could take a picture of it and wax sentimental about the old days of retail, too.
