I think his owners sponsored him because they could exactly predict what he would do. Zer0 is so fond of giving speeches and having the adulation of the sycophants that he will do exactly as he is told to remain in power. First, he crash the stock market and talk it down as a means of getting a crisis bill ramroded through congress and, now, that he sees he now owns the recession and his adulation is fading, he's trying to do a quick 180.
