THR: Universal is developing a Battlestar movie with original series creator Glen Larson. How do you feel about that?
Moore: More power to them. I dont know anything about it; they didnt talk to me about it. Ive always said if somebody wanted to do a continuation of the original, thats fine by me. It doesnt have anything to do with what weve done.

I resisted BSG for a long time but season 3 sucked me in. I then downloaded the rest of the seasons since I can’t stand commercials. Can’t wait for the finale.

Funny thing: I was just reminded that I won't be home for the finale. I'll be at a Sci-fi convention in Rye, New York. (Lunacon 2009).
In a great piece of planning, I viewed the tentative schedule and their having a "The End of BSG" panel just a few minutes after the show airs on the East Coast. Unfortunately, I don't go to these cons to sit in my room and watch TV, so I'll be avoiding all talk of BSG for an entire weekend in a hotel filled with fanboys (and fangals).

Battestar the movie should be interesting to see. I wonder how they will recap what has happen or will they sketch a brief history of what has happen and build a stand alone story around that? Or they could do the Starwars thing and start off in the center somewhere and then do a prequel thing.
Bottom line I just hope it is good SciFi. Here lately some of the movies that have come out have turned out to be just super lame with me going “I actually bought 2 tickets to this?” “What the heck was I thinking?” and then sighs* and heads off to Blockbuster for DVD SciFi fix after having to agree to go see 2 chick flixs because she had to sit through that.

What a stupid disappointment.
They finally get to Earth at approx. 200,000 BC, around the time earliest Homo is appearing. And what do they do? They abandon all their technology and books and arts and everything that they are and go -- wait for it -- Back to Nature, so they can die of the common cold or an infected finger if they don't burn or freeze to death first while being eaten by a lion. What crap! They should have called it Battlegreen Galactica. Then the characters spend the next several days wandering around instead of trying to kill some food animal with a sharp stick, which is all they've decided to allow themselves. Then, Thrace evaporates! WTF?
A finale written by the coke-addled. Just say no!
