The serial numbers may have been tracked. Best to widely disburse the money as best you can and claim you were handed some too.

The police will now throw it into their own kitty for whatever they want to spend it on.

Revenue tickets will still be issued because that is how day to day operational expenses are met.

The serial numbers may have been tracked.

Doesn't seem to be the case here.

I would imagine a kid handing out C notes at the bus stop would get some attention.

"Investigators learned that a student had been handing out $100 bills when a school bus company reported it to a school resource officer on Tuesday, said Chief Dakota County Deputy David Bellows. The boy had given out thousands of dollars before deputies started going back and collecting the money. They recovered almost all of it, Bellows said."
