I agree with you.
If childless couples want to adopt, they should stop waiting around for babies and set their sights on toddlers and older children who are desperate for loving families.
And the desire to remove child from a single parent is a bit draconian. Actually, it is damn weird unless there are extenuating circumstances...like abuse, neglect or other dire circumstances.
I don’t think that anyone is suggesting that the govt forcibly take the children of ‘unfit’ parents. That is a strawman.
But as conservatives living in a liberal dominated culture, we have to be vocal about our values even though we don’t want the govt to enforce those values. If we don’t speak out then we’ll end up with a lot of unhappy kids that end up on welfare.
