The pair, parents to 2-month-old son Tripp, broke up 'a few weeks ago'
Bristol Palin and her fiancé Levi Johnston have broken up, two sources tell PEOPLE.
The split happened "a few weeks ago," according to a source close to the couple, but it's unclear what precipitated it. "It was a mutual thing," adds the source.
"It kind of just happened," says the source, referring to the split. "I thought they would stick it out. But I think they can work together to raise Tripp."
Despite the breakup, Levi still sees the couple's son. Levi's dad, Keith Johnston, told PEOPLE recently that his son is a devoted and "proud father."
Bristol, meanwhile, is attending Wasilla High, taking a class to supplement course work she is completing at home. She also is considering enrolling in college next fall and studying nursing.

I think he or she is saying there is no guarantee. Life doesn’t give us any guarantees. There’s no guarantee that an intact adoptive couple is any better than a birth parent. There’s no guarantee that any adoptive couple will remain married either.

I’m so happy I never knew some of you people when I was a teen. Even though I didn’t have pre marital sex, this thread is freaky. I don’t know what your lives were life but I have wonderful memories and I wasn’t a saint.
Some of these posts are just like liberals posts, all into everyone else’s lives, trying to force feed agendas.
I agree on both counts. Actually, it isn't any of our business. I do think that individuals like you and me and landlords and employers and parents and schools and so forth should have rights to discriminate in favor or against single family mistakes like this, and the guaranteed ultimate result would be to discourage them from happening. But the "compassionate" nanny government has tied our hands and taken over. Now we're so compassionate we're forced to subsidize single motherhood with our labor, which is what taxes are.
Instead of taking it out on the "compassionate" tax-spending do-gooders who encourage this mess, people take it out on the flawed kids of a flawed family doing the best it can in the real world, all because that flawed family dares to proclaim a faith in family values.
I think people are assuming a lot because you stated you gave up your baby for adoption and took the high road.

I can just imagine right now if any of my kids ever run for public office. The mistakes their mother made (me) would provide hours of gossip. And probably prevent them from ever being in office if they ran as a conservative. The “conservatives” would eat them alive.

No one is glorifying teen sex and pregnancy and motherhood. We’re also not glorifying adoption or giving up one’s child to strangers.
