Side note - those canned fish, salmon and mackerel, are some of the healthiest eating you can buy on the cheap also. Packed in oil or tomatoe sauce they are chuck full of good Omega 3 & 6 oils. Very healthy.
Also, I get the ones in tomatoe sauce and separate the sauce out. Drain the red sauce, add it to a pan with some oil, some garlic a bit of water and heat. Stir in some flour or cornstarch and keep stirring. With the right herbs added - I use the pre-packed "Italian Seasoning" or "Herbs du Provence" or maybe just some simple Lemon Pepper - and you can whip up some mighty good tasting sauce for the fish.
