A Canadian judge ruled Thursday that a man accused of beheading and cannibalizing a fellow Greyhound bus passenger is not criminally responsible due to mental illness.

Question for the judge.. what sane person would do this? of course he was mental, what does that have to do with guilt or not.. by the judge's standard, no one is responsible for crime because sane people don't do these things.

There should be a “guilty but insane” verdict.

Even if this guy is successfully treated in a mental hospital, he should never have an opportunity to leave an institution. If he is ever judged sane, he can serve the rest of his life in a secure facility.
