Kudlow claims to be an "evangelical" [or at least a "born-again"] Christian.

If he stays true to these professed principles, and runs as a pro-life candidate, then he couldn't be elected as a dog catcher in Connecticut.

Run on economic policies ONLY! We need to separate economic politics and religion when running for a congressional office in most areas of the country. It just does not sell for the majority. Don't give up or hide your religion, it is part of who and what you are. You will have a shot at winning if you don't make it the centerpoint or let your opposition make it the focus of your campaing.
