The Slumdog thing was a joke/attention-getter, not a personal attack.
No, no, no! You don't understand. It was a racial slur. Let me explain:
1) Jindal is an Indian-American. 2) Slumdog Millionaire is a movie set in India. 3) Ann Coulter is a conservative.
Don't you understand now? It's a clear case of racism / bigotry / slur. Points (1) and (2) together indicate that someone's race has been pointed out. Now, combine that with item (3) and the fact that everyone in the world KNOWS that whenever a conservative says anything even remotely related to race, it automatically equates to racism / bigotry / slurs.
If Coulter was a liberal, then of course this would not be a "slur". Don't forget rule (3) - the conservative/liberal rule. That is why conservative Trent Lott praising Thurmond on his 100th birthday was racist, while liberal cartoonists drawing Condoleeza Rice using the most detestable "mammy" depictions - not seen for 4 or 5 decades now - was NOT racist, or why Jesse Jackson's "hymietown" remark was NOT racist.
These simple rules have been pounded into what's left of Americans' brains now for decades, and as you've seen, there are even a number of FR members who have swallowed this hook, line, sinker, and grape koolaid.
