What a classic example of a collision of worlds! The teen acted exactly like a teen of the 21st century complete with her arms-crossed, who's-going-to-make-me body language and the kicking of the shoe. The officer, OTOH, displayed pure police officer conduct. Question their authority and it's open season on you.

Given that you have a perfect example of two wildly disparate worlds, there was no other way this could have ended. Sadly, that ending was typical of most one-on-one disputes with a police officer, especially in the closed confines of their own territory.

I am certainly not passing judgment on the behavior of either the cop or the teen, just observing that this was a clash of worlds, and a classic one at that!

Bull Shit!

“Their own territory” INDEED.

They have no territory but their own yard and home. They work on MY territory. WE sign their paychecks. We provide their building, offices and tools. They are SERVANTS of WE the citizenry. They can take their ‘thin blue line’ crap and see how it plays in hell.

There is no thin blue line. Me and mine and my neighborhood could do a much better job of protecting ourselves without them thank you very much. Actually I think they do a pretty piss poor job.
