Flipped through Atlas Shrugged last night again.
I would seriously like AM radio and some folks to get behind a serious tax revolt.
Just don't pay taxes.
The tax base is made of Republicans. If we don't pay, they don't play.
It would have to be a mass effort to work (and to keep people out of jail).

Go ahead and start without out me, I’ll catch up later ..../sarc
I would love to do that but you are right. It would have to be a mass effort. How could we go about doing this. I would love to tell the IRS to go to hell. That they have gotten all the money they are ever going to get from me!
It would obiously have to have very public front men.
Talk radio could start a real movement.
Just the threat would be enough to get the Obomunists to back down.
Everyone has a right to legally minimize the amount of tax they pay, but nobody has a right to avoid payment. If you do not like the tax laws work to change them. You will not be very effective in your crusade sitting in a federal prison.
“How could we go about doing this.”
If folks like Stever Forbes, Huckabee, Rush, etc started talking about it, have a serious date in mind — no withholding after March 30, say, until a flat tax is installed, it would work.
I don’t mind paying taxes, but basically having the top 25% pay 110% of the taxes (since the bottom actually get wealth transfers without paying tax) is simply unamerican.
In a way there are a lot of people who are already doing this by bartering and finding other ways to reduce tax liability.
That’s why it would have to be a huge percentage of the population to work.
You can’t put 33% of the population in prison.
Which is a start. I am probably going to leave the country.
That won't work because of payroll deduction....it would just put the business owner in jail. Let me suggest that every tax payer do everything in his power legally to shelter income.
Claim your maximum deductions...don't give them one extra cent to use interest free.
Contribute the max to your 401K and Health Savings Accounts.
Invest in tax free municipal bonds.
Get employers to investigate CAFE style programs that let the costs of health care and day care to be deducted from gross income pre tax.
I'm sure their are lots of other legal strategies that could help starve the beast.
Belize is very nice if you don’t mind the heat.
I suggest looking into the Rahm Emanuel tax patriot plan
Start a nonprofit organization to benefit your church or your kids’ private school or to save the ducks or whatever...
Name yourself and your spouse as its employees. Any salary you pay yourselves is deductible as an expense
make your house the HQ of the nonprofit. Deduct all expenses of maintaining the HQ of the nonprofit, and any equipment you use, such as your computer, utilities, heck even yard service
Now deduct all payments the nonprofit makes to the beneficiary, such as your kids’ private school
Make sure your nonprofit officers (you and your spouse) attend educational and informational seminars and training, too- take that safari to Africa and write it off as an education expense! And be sure to talk about your nonprofit when you go to concerts and plays- those tickets can be deductible as fund-raising expenses
Next - the Charlie Rangel “no habla espanol” tax deferment scheme
Ain’t.
Gonna.
Happen.
That is until Obama has us so broke people can’t afford to pay taxes.
That’s tinkering on the edges.
Just stop playing their game. They set the house rules; you always lose.
A real revolt is in order.
All that stuff is good.
Nameing your house a church, btw, ends property taxes. (Just make sure you’re zoned properly, and have a Bible study or something there.)
Great idea, but that is why the gubment does withholding. What is required is a for every Republican to stop working for a month and lay off their employees. It would absolutely bring the country to a stop.
You are probably right.
But this tea party thing could start a movement.
If a revolt starts, we need to do it together and row in the same direction.
A new Sons of Liberty should be able to come up with some creative way to get the point across.
No, but you can make a few very public and brutal examples.
“What is required is a for every Republican to stop working for a month and lay off their employees. It would absolutely bring the country to a stop.”
This is not a bad idea, either.
I want people to come up with idea to destroy the tax system, however.
It’s gotten absurd.
Notice, Obama is getting rid of deductions to charities -— designed to kill churches, as (like it or not) most churches and shuls depend on certain key rich members to keep them going.
