Naturally she kicks all their asses in 10 mins, not even breaking a sweat.
The scene was much better the first time around.
Thanks for bringing up my dinner. Now I can have another! :)
“Theres nothing sexier than a woman who will drink with you smoke cigars and tear up a bar.”
I’ve spent a lifetime in bars all over the nation and there is no such thing.
Bars hogs can cause a scene and get thrown out, or rarely a girl might come in and pull a train for the guys, but there is no dreamy, sexy, fantasy that you describe.
I have seen girls mess with the nerds a little just to make them squirm and get nervous, especially in biker bars, but a woman come in and kick ass? no.
Boozer chicks fade to coarse looking almost instantly, two or three years heavy drinking and hanging with men can turn a knock out looking 18 year old into a ghastly looking, hacking, trash type in short time, for many of them by the time they reach their late twenties only the alcoholics will bang them.
At least it doesn't have a nauseating cutesy "Boxy" character, with a retarded "robot" chimpanzee pet.
Yet. I suspect they're not quite yet done with Tigh and Caprica Six's child (although I'm betting the child would be the dagget, being an offspring of two robots...).
Once upon a time, in what used to be a far away land called Hollywood (but is now a state of mind and everywhere), a young actor was handed a script and asked to bring to life a character called Starbuck. I am that actorSo Dirk, Starbuck was your Marty Stu? "What a guy!"
...
Fortunately, I was young, my imagination fertile and adrenal glands strong, because bringing Starbuck to life was over the dead imaginations of a lot of Network Executives. Every character trait I struggled to give him was met with vigorous resistance. A charming womanizer? The “Suits” (Network Executives) hated it. A cigar (fumerello) smoker? The Suits hated it. A reluctant hero who found humor in the bleakest of situations? The Suits hated it. All this negative feedback convinced me I was on the right track. br> ...
Starbuck was meant to be a lovable rogue br> ...
So we persevered, Starbuck and I. The show, as the saying goes, went on and the rest is history for, lo and behold, women from all over the world sent me boxes of cigars, phone numbers, dinner requests, and marriage proposals. br> ...
Starbuck was all charm and humor and flirting without an angry bone in his womanizing body
Sorry Face, as fracked up as she is, Kara Thrace is better than your fantasy
You guys are all on dope. The new BSG is probably one of the best television shows ever created. Yes its dark, and all problems are not solved in one hour, and everything doesn’t always work out. But the characters are quite human, their marriages have problems, they drink excessively, and at times the individuals and the culture cracks and falls apart from despondency. What do you expect? The entire civilization was destroyed, and their hopes have been dashed on numerous occasions. They are hunted, their supplies are low, factions develop, they are stuck permanently on ships, and in many cases driven to the ultimate limit of human endurance. The cinematography is superb, and in a few scenes has been exceptional, better than most eleventy billion dollar super blockbuster movies. It is probably the only TV show I watch regularly. Unfortunately, it is a continuing story and I don’t think it should be watched a few episodes here and a few episodes there. This is the only series I have ever seen that has had plot twists that completely took me by surprise.
Granted there is some PC here and there. There was the abortion episode in season one where the “liberal” president didn’t want to eliminate a “womans right to choose”...but at the end, she made it illegal.
Every person I have badgered into watching the series has become addicted. And that includes my super conservative, gun toting ones, as well as my bleeding heart liberal ones.
