But I would ultimately agree with your point that the Constitution must be upheld at all costs, but it appears Murdoch and the Democratic Party (suprise!) has a backbone to uphold the Constitution over their company or party principles.
If that is indeed true, then we are all in big trouble, for the power has passed away from the people.
I just heard Joe Scarborough advise conservatives in his address CPAC to refrain from calling Obama a " communist" because it was counterproductive. I must say that we have come to a point, or at least we are very nearly at the point, where such admonitions to observe punctiliousness in the face of a hurricane is becoming fatuous. If we lose talk radio and perhaps also Fox, there is literally no institution left in America which might save us from a Manchurian Marxist. It is literally possible that the damage which has been done by these spending laws to the Republic, our democracy, our capitalism are irretrievably lost and can not be rescued even with a free press which truly is fair and balanced. The damage might be done even if Obama is not a Manchurian Marxist because we simply cannot control the forces we have unleashed with these mindless spending bills. Has Barak Obama has put in motion forces which neither he nor we can control?
Without a reliable free press how can we tell where we are and where we must go? Without the basic institutions envisioned by the founding fathers, how do we overcome the curse of the Democrats?
