It is so politically correct that it’s just a burden to watch it.
I don’t think it’s even slightly politically correct. In fact in many ways it’s politically incorrect. Part of the fun of the show is that these very 70s guys that include punches in their interrogation technique and scoff at the concept of women detectives are still basically nice people trying to make the world a better place. And that in some ways they’re better cops than the modern guys because they don’t have CSI to do their investigating, they live almost entirely on cop instinct.
It’s a good old fashioned 70s cop show, with weirdness. I like 70s cop shows a lot more than the modern day, less techno babble, more hookers in micro-shorts.
