An Amsterdam man returned an $11 lobster to a Price Chopper store, claiming it was bad, and was being allowed to exchange it for a $27 bag of crab legs when store managers discovered he had eaten the lobster and pieced the shell back together, according to a report by my colleague Bob Gardinier. He fled when confronted, and when authorities caught up with him at home, he had already eaten the crab legs.
