he certainly did forget — the self-centered SOB is all about him and his “causes”
It’s because they have put preaching before story telling the last twenty or so years. I will say I loved Australia and thought Valkyrie were both well worth seeing and enjoyed both.
>>>We used to have more female Freepers and started threads for the red carpet. Those days are gone.
The place has noticeably gone downhill since the self-destructive Rudy purges. It’s not the same site at all.
I positively loathed American Beauty

PLUS - Spacey should NEVER have won for that role ...
HOWEVER, he WAS awesome in “The Usual Suspects” and deserved the Supporting Actor award that he won ...
Dark Knight was an excellent film and Heath Ledger climbed inside that roll... which could have been at least part of his dark descent into death.
Like United 93. One and done, because it’s too painful to watch. The last few minutes of United 93 are truly amazing!
Even better was both men appreciated his parody.

WELL - he and Robin did split (briefly) this year ... harbinger of pending divorce???
Kevin Spacey is one of my least favorite actors... above Sean Penn, but way down the list.
I liked when he said Meryl was very coachable when she worked with him.
I haven’t seen it yet. I want to see it and I will, but haven’t yet.
I’m waiting for Spacey to play Carson in a bio flick. And in a related story, Jennifer Hudsen is ready to bio Aretha, but Aretha, would say she (Aretha) is too young for a bio.
You weren’t around for the Bad Joe purges?
and she got a kick out of it. You could tell when he walked out that she knew she was in for it.

Yeah - but ya gotta recognize performances when they are deserved ... no matter how much you hate the guy.
She should have thrown him to the curb long ago and left him there.

You’re prolly right ...
I don’t think I will ever think of Aretha now without picturing her in that hat at the inauguration.
Beautiful song, but so sad. Sad for Judy, but sadder still, for us, and for our children, if we cannot turn this ship around. That America, that we knew, now seems to only exist in our memories.

Thing is, I’ve never seen Sean Penn in a role where I thought he was a great actor. OK actor, yes. Good? Maybe. But never great. Kevin Spacey, on the other hand, is one of the greats. I don’t always like what he does, but boy can he act.
