He’s Sean Penn what did you expect? Overall it was a classy presentation.

In fact, I think that words like “greatest” and “amazing” should be used with great care, unless one is a teenager.

I'm not too interested in the opinion of anyone who believes that Judy Garland was a "no-talent."

That just defies sense.

I turned it off when Penn opened his mouth and timed it perfectly to tune back as he walked off the stage... BTW Hugh Jackman is adorable! I loved him in Australia.

Wow. Clip of William Wallace (Mel Gibson) in Braveheart in battle dress yelling "What will you people do without freedom??!!"

What a timely question! How in the world did the Academy let that slip in there?

At first...tears of joy...then...she looked a little pi$$ed.

Looking forward to seeing S-Dog.

Looks Streep will be back for nom numero 16 for Julia Julie next year.

The show was already ruined with the movie clips of men kissing each other.

Bad thing for children and teens to see who were watching early in the evening. I bet a lot of parents were upset at those clips being shown.

Here it comes again. When “Brokeback Mountain” didn't win best picture the fruits were screaming like we put shards of glass in the nation's KY Jelly supply. We'll probably get the same with “Milk.”

It was obvious from day one that Penn was going to win for Milk. I’ve been saying that for months. He could have turned in the worst performance ever, but he was going to get the Oscar for portraying that person, just because he was a gay icon/martyr.

Very refreshing, after being subjected to the nasty words of that skanky Penn.

From what I’ve read, Winslet is extraordinary in her transformation of the character in her final years. They say that you really can’t recognize that it’s Kate Winslet.

I went with my daughter. She's 37. We both enjoyed it.

It was well presented. I especially like how they show the characters as children and as adults and the story goes back and forth. There is a structure in the writing which makes it easy to follow.

And it is a message of hope in a situation in which hope may be difficult.

I commented on another thread, it’s only a matter of time before they start pushing for a Harvey Milk holiday, just like they’ve done for Martin Luther King and Cesar Chavez.

Can’t we just run out and kiss another guy then call it even?

Waiting for the Jimmy Kimmel Live After the Academy Awards show, following local news in most Eastern locals. He has Mel Gibson on and Robin Thicke performs. Kimmel will have to go the extra mile to beat his last year's show.
