...quite a bit. Pontificating, even.
That Jai Ho was the most obnoxious bunch of pretentious cacaphony I’ve ever heard. They have a hell of a lot of nerve calling it a song, much less giving it the Oscar. Turn over gently in your beautiful St. Bonaventure grave, Johnny Mercer!
You and Willie Nelson.
I can’t do that tonight. Everyone is so conservatively dressed, and all the gowns are gorgeous. Is tastefulness returning to H-wood?
Shall we also talk about the Dixie Chicks....? ;^P
It takes some getting used to. Hindi music is an aquired taste, I think. :)
You’re right.. that was a real two-fer...
Oh I love dissing some of the gowns and looks (Goldie Hawn anyone???Y. Which leads to, who did Reese’s hair makeup? Not too good.
Danny Boyle just won Best Director for S-Dog. Just channeled his inner Tigger :)
They couldn’t clap for Heston. Some of their buddies might see them doing it.
Wouldn’t be prudent.
Okay, okay. Everyone knows Willie Nelson is a sick puppy. And I've always suspected the same of Garth Brooks. But c'mon.
Hollywood and Nashville are polar opposites. Hollywood may throw a bone or two our way once in a while and Garth Brooks and Willie Nelson throw a bone their way once in a while.
In a way, you've bolstered my argument. File this under "The exception that proves the rule."
Yep... could cost them their next job...
You and the Dixie Chicks! All country music lovers are America haters and homo lovers!
I agree, nutmeg. Those gals were a caution!
Wonder how much Whoopi Goldberg goes for now.
She was huge in that dress.
She must get fashion tips from Michelle.
This will be my only post on this thread. Just driving by to lob a toss opinion.
Rome is burning as we type, and we should loathe Hollywood for being torchbearers. I once loved the movies and the Oscars, but I see now that it has been a propganda machine from its beginning (as JP Kennedy was one of its founders). I am done with all of them.
My flamesuit is on. I am going back to the “latest posts” page and rest there. Good night my FRiends.
**thinking the same thing **
The bad part for me, anyway, as member of the same unions.. I’ve met a few. so Any of the “In Memoriam” section of any award show... it’s guaranteed that I know one or two of those who have gone.
Especially the “Right Wingers” ..we do tend to attract each other.. not enough but our ranks are growing.
Her eye makeup reminded me of my oldest daughter’s “goth” phase. I didn’t like the gown either.
I was very specific about that which I was surmising. Don't go getting all BunnySlippers on me. If you want to refute something I said, use the entire sentence.
Pontificating, even.
True.
Faith Hill and her husband were Bush haters. There were scads of Obamaniacs in country music.
America haters.
Well imo she beats skankalina by a mile.
