She really has a nice voice. I always forget that she can sing.
She was very good, this part always brings me to tears... one-by-one the really great artists are leaving this life.
TE is the keeper of all Freeper’s souls. He alone decides if they are godly or godless, good or evil. Worthy or not.
A real PITA.
I guess it's my cross to bear.
if you are not interested in movies, why would you post anything on an academy award thread?
I never said I'm not interested in movies. I just object to the glorification, promotion, and self-aggrandizement of an industry that is largely hostile to American values.
This is not the Oscars of the 60s, 70s or even the 80s that I (and perhaps you, I don't know) grew up with.
By and large, these people hate you and me and everything we stand for.
Obviously I'm surmising that you and I stand for the same things.
Ha, ha, I understand. I eat at local Afghan and Persian/Iranian cafes in DC all the time...they are usually always playing persian music videos...very entertaining! I wish I understood farsi.
All those chicks are hot.
And I want to know how all those old guys on the variety shows always hook up with such gorgeous young women!
I don’t undertand a word, but Univision tickles my funnybone.
We used to have more female Freepers and started threads for the red carpet. Those days are gone.

Willie Nelson. Cowboys are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other.
Although I grew up in Texas and know some people that played the same circuit with Willie in the early sixties, I was never a fan.
Disgusting... hardly any applause at all from those cretins for the great Charlton Heston.
Say it. The complete sentence. You can do it.
Oh I suspect the casting couch is alive and well in old Me-hee-co.
Garth's sister (his bass player), is gay.
he was a Republican... what can we expect...
Ick.
That Jai Ho was the most obnoxious bunch of presumptive cacaphony I’ve ever heard. They have a hell of a lot of nerve calling it a song, much less giving it the Oscar. Turn over gently in your beautiful St. Bonaventure grave, Johnny Mercer!
I was thinking the same thing while watching that part.
I know who a lot of those fun FReepers were who ran those great Oscar FR threads... I believe most of them were banned during The Great FR Purge of April 2007... :-(
FR hasn't been the same since, to be honest...
That just goes to show that all country music fans are godless and adore homosexuality.
Yep, and NRA leader...
