I just want to know where in the heck I’m supposed to GO... Don’t have access to a cabin in the woods yet.
You go where you have a support network, family, friends, fellow churchgoers, likeminded people. Sounds a lot like home to me. If you’re in a large metro, that may be problematic. But, look back on Katrina. There were pockets of neighborhoods looking out for themselves, protecting each other. They made it through. If we have a period of breakdown, it’ll be like that. Striking out on your own, into the backwoods, where you know no one, sounds like a recipe for disaster, for all but experienced survivalists, to me at least.
Any like minded relatives or friends have a remote place? Start figuring it out. Start learning skills that would be useful to others. Reparing stuff will be hot. Get powerless hand tools now.
I watched this show on History Channel called Life After People. Appearently, the Hoover Dam hydro-electric plant could run up to fifty years without any interference from man. I always thought of that as a good fallback place if civilization were to collapse.
Where do you live? I mean what type of situation? Apartment in the city? House in the suburbs?
