The Winter War: Democrat Tax Cheats - Why They Sent Pulitzer Winner Grimaldi Into The Guns

Winter War update - Washington

Things have been getting a little hot here for the new Democrat administration. Apparently, most of the Washington Democrats, and some few of the state-level Democrats, are Tax Cheats, Bribe-Takers and Perjurers.

Democrat spinners and Talking Points bots on TeeVee and the various blogs and talk forums are getting their lying 8sses handed to them over the Tax Cheat issue. What's a Tax Cheat Party to do?

As I predicted earlier, the Democrats have gone to their utterly predictable playbook: find a high-profile Republican(s) "tax cheat" and splash it all over the front pages and 6 o'clock Network News of Obama's media machine.

Well, the Democrats have done it. They picked their suicide news bomber, and sent him after the darling of the Republican party and the conservatives, Sarah Palin.

Who is the lucky bomber?

James V. Grimaldi, Washington Post investigative "reporter" and Pulitzer Prize winner, got the explosive vest nod:

Palin Now Owes Taxes on Payments for Nights at Home, State Rules James V. Grimaldi, February 18, 2009

Sarah Palin's Tax Matters Grimaldi follow-up piece, February 19, 2009

===========================================

Now, it doesn't matter that the tax ruling was made just this week, or that Palin doesn't owe the taxes until taxes are due for this year (April 2009).

All that matters is what another Freeper reported yesterday:

Last night I was sitting in a local bar, having drinkies and appetizers and watching the evening shadows fall across the inlet, when I happened to glance up at the TV. It had a huge banner that read “Palin didn’t pay taxes.”

Incredible. It wasn’t until I got home that I found out that this was an Alaska matter, it had just been decided that day (at her request!), and was essentially a non-story. But everybody else in that bar thinks of Sara Palin as a tax evader now." - Freeper livius (post #11), Sarah Palin's Tax Matters (FR)

Grimaldi has whipped up the batch of "Republican Tax Cheat" Stone Soup that the Demobots needed to club their tormenters with. Too bad he had to sacrifice his credibility to make that batch of soup.

I ask you - where are Grimaldi's stories about the Democrat Tax Cheats back in the fall of 2008?

There are none - because that's not what their "investigations" are about...

Here a Tax Cheat, there a Tax Cheat, everywhere a Perjurer & a Bribe-Taker. Ol' Obama had some corruption, gee-I gee-I know!

Every so often we’re reminded that perhaps our MSM isn’t biased, but actually receiving orders from someone else.

During the election, didn’t the MSM have over 40 reporters in Alaska leaving no stone unturned to finally find something on Sarah Palin? Yes, they did.

The shame is there are people out there who will hear this and think, aren’t all those politicians the same? Now, most are awful but if they are all the same then we adjust as a people by lowering our expectations and this is the recipe for disaster. I know Grimaldi knows that and he still receives a paycheck. His “reputation” isn’t tarnished among the MSM, they know he’s a good soldier following orders.

Man do I agree with you on this. They are all too much the same. It’s like one organization writes all news. Pravda don’t have nothing on our so called “Free Press.”

Yes, and it's a pretty penny.

"Jernalism" pays a lot more than 40 pieces of silver...
