Lawful Assembly and Solidarity for Conservative Activism...A NATIONAL TOWNHALL
2-20-9 | sequoyah101

I suppose this is what some call vanity?

I'll come to my point first. Do you think it would do any good to be able to see and know that there are others like you with the same concerns? Real people that are more real than a keyboard and a computer screen? Do you think there are people who would become active if they had a little push? People who aren't like Freepers that dwell on this site and ones like it?

What if someone, anyone and anyplace said, "I'll be at the Walmart, Lowes, HomeDepot parking lot in the NE corner at noon central time on Saturday. I might see some of you there and that would be good. I'll be there each Saturday for about half an hour until we see better days."

What if this took place at the same time all across the nation? What if these like minded people began to quietly, politely, orderly show up in massive numbers all across the America, same time, same places week after week? What would come of it? I'm not sure. I'd just see how it developed.

Do we need money for this? No. Do we need an organization? We have one, we are an organization of Americans.

How do we who pay the taxes and are being duped and railroaded become a force of enough critical mass to make our own change? How do we gain strength in our own movement? My Bible says that without a Vision (HOPE) the people perish. Do we have hope or vision enough? I could use more, I know that.

We seem fractioned. We seem to have been divided and conquered. We have so many sites and so many causes but so little recognition.

In 2007 we did great things against the "Immigration Reform Bill". We can make a difference. Without our efforts that would have passed. It was wrong in every respect.

I see lots of Freeper Rallies and such but I never see them as visible. I keep wondering how the left manages to get so much attention, how do they rally their troops...notwithstanding the undying adulation from the press.

I work with mostly smart people but most of them aren't here and aren't active but they don't like what is going on at all. How do we get them out? Most conservatives are just that, conservative. They are not activists. For our cause of freedom and sustaining our Nation and Constitution we must find a rally point to inspire these conservatives to activism. We must get the attention of the media.

Every cause in the country shows up in Washington but hardly ever in enough number to be noted. They simply get lost in the fog. Most of the people who pay the taxes, do the work, coach the kids teams, work in the church or community have full time jobs and can't go to Washington or even the state capitol but we can go to town on weekends and we do.

I have been in most of the world and worked with men of most classes. I find one thing common to them, they love their families for the most part and want a good, safe and better world for their children. What more common goal do we need? Are you happy about the future you see for the ones you love?

You are smart folks. Is this idea legal? Could this help our causes or is it just a crackpot idea? Can we spread this idea to other boards and blogs? Can we land on a common launch date?

We must also find a leader. I have been waiting for one to emerge that will unify us in a movement to continue the greatness and principles and vision we once had as a nation. We have not had one since President Regan. We need a man or woman who is a fellow mountain climber. We need someone who will not tire or shirk. A person who is concerned about climbing the mountain and not his place on the mountain. It is not an easy job. Once you have assembled the followers you must be prepared to do and keep doing. The followers will not stand around long waiting for direction. They will soon tire and wander off and the opportunity will be wasted. Until a leader emerges it we must act responsibly and hang together.

I am tired. I think I will not be around much longer but I have a dream of seeing a better time for our nation before I go. I may only catch a glimpse of it but that would be enough. I know that if the spark starts and the vision is seen you will finish the work and our loved ones will be well. Just like a band of brothers on the battlefield, when one falls another will take up the colors and carry on.

I pray for you and pray that we can somehow have an America deserving of God's blessings.

Amendment 1

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

And remember, BTW, that assemblages for the purpose of discussing political interests are best held on private properties of members of such assemblies.

Fair enough comment but just shopping shouldn’t be a problem for starters.

People gather at such places all the time.

That’s true, but meetings on properties of traitors would eventually be easier to disrupt or redirect. ;-)

It can be done. Reminded me of this...

“See You at the Pole”
A student-initiated and student-led movement that began in Texas in 1990 with a single church youth group. It grew to more than 3 million by 1998.

some history of how this gathering spread to 50 states and around the world...

To be really effective, bring rifles. Americans did that once, you know. Once a week they gathered peacefully and brought rifles. It was called Sunday and they gathered at Church. Afterwards the men were required to show they could function their muskets. This is a tradition we need to get back to.

I had no idea, I find this statistic you posted...demoralizing.

That is but a pittance of people...no more portion of the population than that see this site as a place to gather information?

IT IS NO WONDER THE ELECTION WAS LOST.

As for the meeting at the pole group...never heard of it which seems to be some indication of how successful it was. Nice gesture but.

As for guns at church...maybe but seems a little over the top for the moment. I should think that it would be best to build the numbers first such that it would be hard, very hard, to silence them quietly one at a time.
