"Not so long ago, in our part of Europe we lived in a political system that permitted no alternatives and therefore also no parliamentary opposition," said Klaus. "We learned the bitter lesson that with no opposition, there is no freedom."

I first heard about this man when he stood out against Al Gore and his global warming hysterics, now this. The more he speaks, the more I admire him.

He knows communism up front and personal.

He is to be listened to.

The world has turned upside down.
The former East Block has tired of Socialism - at least, the younger generation. While at the same time, we allowed the 60's generation to educate our children in schools and universities and brainwash them while reinforcing the mantra with the left wing media up until the point that they got their Marxist Messiah.

It is over. The nation will be beggared. There will be food shortages and hunger. Things we could not imagine.

Then the civil strife will really begin. This is far from over.

The Czech Republic should be very proud to have this great leader. I’m going to look into traveling there.

Yes, apparently they can produce both quality executives AND quality firearms. I can’t say anything bad about my CZ. If the wife and I ever get to Europe, I’ll have to consider seeing the Czech Rep.

I have always been puzzled by the people here in the USA who believe we need to copy Europe on health care, economics, guns, food, whatever

Europe is the HOME of every totalitarian philosophy known to mankind. This DNA is in their culture.

Klaus is absolutely correct. The EU is presently trying to install a system of soft-paternalism, which will trend towards hard authoritarianism before long.

I and most people I know are of one opinion with President Klaus. The “Euroweenies” derogatively referred to here so often are the governments, not the citizens. And before you say: Well, that’s your own fault, I’ll just say two words: Barack Obama.

It may take a while, but in the end both the US and Europe will survive. Because their respective citizens will not endure totaliarien rule (unlike the muslims) for ever.

I can’t say anything bad about my CZ.

I don’t have a CZ, but I’ve never heard anyone say anything negative about them. The Czechs have always made excellent firearms.
