JACKSON, Wyo. When the mighty elk herds of the West were facing the possibility of extinction from overhunting, settlement and neglect a century ago, people here stepped forward and began what has turned out to be a profound biological experiment....A federal lawsuit filed last year by a coalition of environmental groups charges that feeding the elk violates the Fish and Wildlife Services charter to manage refuges for healthy populations and biological integrity.

Horse-drawn sleighs carry Wyoming tourists through the National Elk Refuge, where environmentalists have sued to end a century-old program of feeding the elk.
Oh yeah, dems let them overpopulate and starve them to death....amazing.
This reminds me of the welfare system. To many humans in this country are depending on it instead of working and fending for themselves.
Enviroweenies.....you’re damned if ya do and damned if ya don’t.
When animals don’t have enough grazing or food, it is humane to thin the herds. These buzzheads won’t let you be humane, and then won’t let you feed. You are right.
The wolves in Alaska would kill the caribou until there aren’t enough to hunt, but the dems want the wolves to be left alone....it’s like they just don’t get it. Most of these envioweenies are born in city, and have no clue about what it takes for a rural area to be in balance.
They look good, but that’s because people are feeding them...if they have to stop it might change.
