The Webley revolver was probably an anachronism in the film—it didn’t become general issue until 1887.

But it looked very cool in the reloading scene, so it stayed in the picture.

Didn’t know that.

They pulled one off on me. I also heard something about an airplane in the background in one scene.

But still - a GREAT movie!!

I'm not sure, but I thought officers could purchase and carry arms other than general issue. Was the Webley available on the civilian market at the time?
