You bet!

This is one of the FEW organizations that is GOOD!

It's too bad I can't say the same of the GIRL SCOUTS.

They allow lesbians in without question and support LIBERAL causes with their fund raising.

Boy Scouts have taken a beating because of their stand for righteousness. What has happened to our country when young people and their group is chastised for wanting to do what’s right? Girl Scouts have given in to PC and they will eventually pay for it. Very sad.

Absolutely!

I support the BSA whenever I can because they are a righteous group helping boys to be righteous.

I do NOT support the Girl Scouts and I tell the ADULT WHY. I don’t take it out on the little girls - but the ADULTS need to know. Most don’t care and view me as the “monster”. LOL!!!!

Nicely done, Scout!

(Dang! I’m gonna have to rent “Follow Me, Boys!” for this evening’s viewing. Great scouting movie!)

I know, have my own copy. Want your own copy? Go to ScoutStuff.org and search on “Follow Me, Boys!” Best part is that ScoutStuff.org is a Boy Scouts of America site so any profit goes back into Scouts.

I'm a little confused as to why this was an acceptable Eagle Project?

From the Eagle Workbook:

“Eagle Scout leadership service projects involving council property or other BSA activities are not acceptable for an Eagle service project. The service project also may not be performed for a business, be of a commercial nature, or be a fund-raiser.”

A Cubmaster here, but when and if you can, please give to the Boy Scouts of America.

Why is this under homosexual agenda? I don’t see anything homosexuality-related here. Is there more to this story? Did homo activists harm this sign originally or something?

People don’t like being faced with the truth. Very sad. Girl Scouts was a good group when I was growing up. I was a Brownie and then a Girl Scout. I loved it. Now I would recommend AWANA, a Christian group for boys and girls.

While the sign restoration is a worthwhile endeavor, I’m not convinced that this was an appropriate Eagle Scout project.

Someone else added that keyword, not I. Suspect it was becuase the “Alternative Lifestylers” hate the Scouts for not letting “Alternative Lifestylers” be adult leaders and have a Happy Hunting & Recuiting grounds for the “Alternative Lifestyler.”

Ah, well, I’m gay, but I think the Boy Scouts have ever right to have whatever membership requirements they want. I just hate to see the overuse of the keyword ‘homosexual agenda’ on stories like this. Here’s a troop who did a wonderful thing for the community. The piece doesn’t even mention homosexuality.

Says FR's resident "gay Christian" who's screen name literally translates to "boyfan"

No, wasn't me who added the keyword.

DirtyHarry keeps saying this, despite the fact that I have explained to him that Nino stands for Antonin Scalia. He is known on the Court and in legal circles as ‘Nino’. I am a fan of his jurisprudence, so the name makes sense. Don’t believe me? From wikipedia: “ Scalia is sometimes referred to by the nickname “Nino”, and his colleagues refer to the frequent short case-related memos he sends as Ninograms.”

The fact that DirtyHarry keeps repeating such a childish line says more about him than it does about me, but I think most reasonable people on this site can see such an exchange and realize that, so I just let it roll off.

Oh, and if people want to add ‘homosexual agenda’ as a keyword to articles about homosexual issues, then whatever, I don’t complain about that. It’s when it’s attached to something entirely unrelated like a painting of a sign by Boy Scouts that I think it’s silly. It makes literally no sense. It’d be like adding Hillary Clinton to an article about Wellesley College that never referred to anything about her even once in the piece. It’s just pointless.
