We don't NEED a particular "party" if we can get just ONE person to run on the pledge I've laid out for president. If enough votes are won in the congressional races by anyone running on this pledge, the problem of "party" becomes mute. In addition, if the feds are successfully rolled back into their tiny cage, "parties" won't mean as much on the national level as they are now. The point is to get the power back to the states and to do so in a way where this NEVER gets out of hand as it is again.

If someone were running on this type of pledge, that is to TOTALLY remove all hidden taxation through corporations, remove all social security taxes, and end all federal taxation of any sort on the individual, wouldn't YOU support them? I'd have to think that this is a shoe-in for president.

"Pledge"? They pledge before an election, and then do what benefits them personally the most afterwards. Even Bush turned on us with Shamnesty. The office of President isn't that powerful. Sure, he can veto, and coerce. But we're all staring a situation in the face where KEY people in the House and Senate who caused the problems we're seeing now are continuously voted in by people who are our peers. The inmates are now running the jail (so to speak). But this problem is far greater than that, and historically the types of problems we're seeing start to unfold have been dealt with using methods involving physical force and not something as civil as a ballot box. Too many people are trying to avoid the real solution. I don't agree fundamentally with too many things said by communists, but Chairman Mao Tse-Tung spoke well when he was quoted as saying that "...real power comes from the barrel of a gun."

But even Mao's words aren't going to help much this time around. Too many Americans bought into the lie that they could "own" homes, and cars, and "nice things" on credit. Certified financial planners were trained on how to maximize profits with "techniques" designed specifically to keep the borrower within legal parameters, but at the same time, make it difficult. Too many people are too short sighted, and have no plans for the future other than their next pay check, and the base for which that is provided is eroding as we sit and enter our words in this forum.

But worse than this, these people who traded real freedom for the slavery of debt have no will to fight. They have no fortitude. Such is the nature of a slave. I'm sure I'll offend some with what I've written here, and I have in the recent past. But inwardly, everybody who is a slave to debt knows that this is true. I'm not criticizing them personally. I can personally attest to just how difficult it is to live within our means and plan for adversity. It requires discipline and the desire to delay gratification. But too many have been trained that WE ARE AMERICANS!....and we don't wait for anything! WE GET WHAT WE WANT NOW! ...and we get mad if we don't! As a nation, we have a "microwave mentality"...."Have it your way!"...and get mad and demand a free meal if we don't!

I hate to disagree with you, but you and I and everybody else who "could" make a difference are just too far outnumbered. Oh we'd put up a hell of a fight! They'd remember us for a good long time! But there aren't enough of us to win.

The bottom line is this....to break the illegal taxation will require a war. That's the way it's happened in the past and it's what happens any time enough people of a nation revolt against their government on account of it.

We're historically overdue for some major civil conflict anyway. I can't say exactly how it will come around, but it doesn't take a genius to see that there will be no good end to what we're digressing to now...whether that be a civil conflict with "lines drawn", or riots... I don't know. But unless something changes SOON, it won't be good.
