I agree about what Ron Paul says for a while and then he seems to kind of veer off the cliff and reminds me of a crazy relative. I wish we had a candidate who believed in the constitution like he does but seems more sane.
Once you understand that it's the centrally planned monetary system that is at the heart of America's problems, you understand where Ron Paul is coming from. Central planning doesn't work. The monetary system is centrally planned, but it's as if nobody sees it. People just turn away, stop trying to understand, whenever the consequences of the federal reserve are discussed. We all just seem to accept it. I guess, because it's always been there. But when you explore the topic you realize that central banking is a curse. Jefferson saw it as evil and killed the 1st attempt. Jackson, a Jeffersonian, killed the 2nd central bank. Our fed is the 3rd.
The fed creates inflation, which leads to the economic booms which inevitably lead to the economic bust (which we are now experiencing.) The fed enables the growth of the massive FedGov under which we all suffer now. The fed is a curse.
It's ALL about this, with Ron Paul. And he's absolutely right. His philosophical core comes from classical liberalism and the Austrian school of economics
