Farm animals are not pets Horses are working animals. I bet that there aren't very many that just graze and frolic in the sun, without a real job, whether it is horse racing, or pleasure riding or drawing carts and carriages.
In colder climates, they grow a thick coat to protect them from the weather. Take a drive out in the country on a rainy day and see how many of these farm animals seek shelter. They are all out in the fields, with their backs to the wind, rain and sleet. To us, they look miserable, but to them it is just another day on the farm.
