The Congo’s freshwater elephant fish, such as the one seen above, use their long snouts to sift through river bottom sediments for food—another example of the Congo as a hotbed of evolution.
What? How about a hotbed of diversity of species? Why put the word “evolution” into this? It’s a specific species of fish that has survived because it can do something that other fish cannot - sift for food though the river sediment.
Let’s take this simply - how many evolutionary ‘changes’ would be needed from saw the scary tiger fish to the elephant fish? 5? 10? 50? 500? And if just ONE of them doesn’t happen, then the elephant fish - or the tiger fish - doesn’t exist. Which one came first? Neither? What was the common ancestor, then?
EVOLUTION IS A SHAM. Survival of the ‘fittest’, sure, I can understand that. It means survival of the species best suited for the local/natural environment. Evolution? Nah...
