BOY dad Alfie Patten yesterday admitted he does not know how much nappies cost but said: I think its a lot. Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.
He told how he and Chantelle, 15, decided against an abortion after discovering she was pregnant.

Agreed. He should be the big brother, not the father, no question. This is the sick result of a society that is values-free. We’ve lost our center on God, and as a result, anything goes.
The girlfriend's entire family are bums sucking off the government teat. They don't have jobs, and live in "council" housing (welfare housing in the UK).
The boy spent the night at the girlfriend's house (apparently in her bed) often enough that he kept a spare school uniform there so he could go directly to school. This was of course with the approval of her parents.
When societies take away all shred of Christian morality, and take away all societal and economic penalty for bearing illegitimate kids, what else should they expect?
Chill. The girl’s completely irresponsible parentage hadn’t been discussed yet on the thread. I was agreeing with you.
Actually, they cross over to Alabama and with parents permission, a boy can marry at 14 and girl at 13....
>>In Georgia, that would be statutory rape
That’s true although if you cross state lines to avoid the minimum age that is apparently a crime in itself. I remember some reverend who got convicted for driving consenting 13 year olds to Alabama for that purpose. They convicted the parents too.
Is there something in the story that says or implies he spends the night in her bed? I didn’t see anything. It’s possible, of course, but then again, maybe not. I don’t think it’s fair to presume one way or the other without further information.
Sure, this is one messed-up situation, but on this particular point, I think we have to be agnostic.
Still, he need to do a DNA test to see if he is the father considering he only had sex with her once. It is possible that she been around the block a few times.
What’s it all about, Alfie?
Is it just for the moment YOU live?
What’s it all about when you sort it out, Alfie?
It was in another link that her parents allowed him to sleep over. He even had a spare school uniform at their house.
Yes, I saw that. But all it said was that he stayed over at their house. It said nothing one way or the other about whether he slept with the girl or not. I don’t think we can assume one way or the other.

It was from this thread:

Baby-faced boy who became father at 13 ‘was allowed to share bed with girlfriend, 14’
Schoolboy father: ‘When my mum found out, I thought I was going to get in trouble’
The parents of a schoolgirl mother allowed her to share a bedroom with the baby’s father who was aged just 12, it emerged today.
Okay, you’re right. I thought you meant the Daily Mail article or whatever Brit tabloid it was.
Sad. They still don’t get it.
