Okay....let me get all Socratic on you, then.
Why do you think that I'm saying that it's "okay to vote for the lesser of two evils", when the whole point of my argument - as I've REPEATEDLY stated it in this thread, AND stated in my initial post - was that conservatives need to get serious about tossing the RINOs out on their ears, but that we can't do that if half of us whine, pick our noses, and take our balls and go home.
Get it?
If I seem like I'm making ad hominem arguments, that's probably because that's what it takes to get through some of the thick skulls around here.
My whole point is that we shouldn't have to vote for the lesser of two evils, because we could get rid of the RINOs. BUT, we can't do that if we don't get together and get behind conservative Republicans in the primaries and in the Party. My points here are that:
1) So-called "conservatives" who would rather pout and loudly proclaim that "they ain't ever votin' Republican agin'!" instead of helping to swing the GOP back to conservative control - these people are not really conservatives. They are fifth columnists, they are traitors helping the enemy, they are lazy whiners who aren't willing to do what it takes to see conservatism triumphant.
2) Going third party is a complete waste of time. If they were going to be successful, they already would have been. Splitting our votes with the Constitution Party, Libertarians, and whatever other odd little pissant parties are out there does nothing but elect Democrats.
3) So-called "conservatives" who complain about RINOs, but who then stomp off and leave, have no reason to complain. All they do is enable the RINOs and liberals, and thus are really the cause of the problem they're complaining about. Fewer conservatives staking a claim to the GOP means the moderates and RINOs have commensurately more power. And vice versa.
