The U.S. certainly has very different political traditions from Argentina and more barriers to a populist-driven rape of the economy. The author is incorrect with the second part of his assumption. We haven't had a single 'barrier' to a populist driven rape of what's left of the US for decades.
The inmates are running the asylum and the rest of us are WATF.
I figure we have a year, maybe, before the wheels really come off.

A year? At the current rate of decline, that's entirely possible. I've been saying for some time now that by spring, they'll stop calling me crazy for predicting a depression! I've had people at work ask me HOW I know what's going to happen! I tell them that I'm WATCHING it happen! They look at me like I'm from a different planet!
