This is Webb revealing his true, socialist self - anyone who thought he was a "moderate", gun-loving all around guy needs to read this - and shame om all who voted him in. REMEMBER THIS when he's up for re-election!!!! There remains-and there always should remain-a frustration with how far we have to go. For me, our most important journey in the country today, is to restore basic economic fairness. To close the massive gulf that now exists between the people at the very top in this country and everyone else. At the same time their income went up, the average tax rate at the top fell to its lowest level in 18 years. This along with a lot of other policies that need to be examined, has created the largest income gap in this country since the 1920s. When I graduated from college in 1968, the average CEO made 20 times what the average worker made in the United States of America. Today, that CEO makes 400 times as much as the average work.

Sorry all for the inelegant post. Thought I’d shorten this by adding pertinent points of speech in my comments - looks terrible. Many apologies...

Andrew Jackson, established an important principle of American-style democracy-that you measure the health of our society not at its apex, but at its base. Not with numbers, however shaky they are these days, that come out of Wall Street, but with the living conditions that exist among the people who are carrying the true load of society.

The problem is, Professor Num Nutts, that DemonRATs are not concerned with living conditions of anyone, only in buying votes. In doing so, they are paying out the dividends of those who carry the load of society and give them to those who are a LOAD ON SOCIETY. Pretty much everything else they say is a LOAD.

What a waste of time e-mailing Webb’s office. He’s blaming CEOs too.

When I graduated from college in 1968, the average CEO made 20 times what the average worker made in the United States of America. Today, that CEO makes 400 times as much as the average work.

First of all, using averages can be exceedingly deceptive. For instance, if I make 100K/yr and my neighbor makes 0, our average annual income is 50K. Using this method, one could conclude that my neighbor makes 10K above the national average.

Second, if we're going to attack people because of high salaries, let's include the NBA, NFL, MLB, rap stars, Hollyweirdo's, etc. These people make enormous amounts of money and would barely even be missed if they all packed up and went to Mars.
