Being very skeptical about the events that transpired to bring Obama into office, the speed at which his agenda is being implemented (regardless of what the Constitution authorizes or specifically does NOT authorize), and the breakneck pace at which we seem to be heading into Socialism, I know I will be very skeptical indeed about any catastrophic or emergency event that gives excuse to either further his unconstitutional reach, or to assert some other form of unilateral control.

I can think of many different scenarios or events that may be manufactured to lead us or attempt to force us to do things, or accept situations that we would not otherwise willingly entertain. Like you, I hope and pray that I am wrong.

The above in bold is a recent quote that you guys probably remember, from Rahm Emmanuel, Obama's Chief of Staff, referring to what use they can make of the current financial debacle. It gives credence to your speculations that they plan on using the debacle, or other crisis to implement their agendas.

Me too. Just imagine a couple of EMP detonations 60 miles above the CONUS. Nationwide blackout for months. Automobiles fried. Computers fried. BITS!
