Oh, really? And did you do anything to “help” defend marriage? My point is that you can be thankful for SOMEBODY sharing your foxhole, even if you find some of his beliefs wrong or repugnant. (There is of course a limit, but when you’re in war a lot of the “little stuff” is really just that, little.)
