I think his naive remarks in his speech at the Prayer Breakfast need to be included:
“No matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate,” he said.
“There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know.”
I don’t think either of these two statements are true of Islam, especially radical Islam.
I have gone back and forth on this one. While it is indeed naive, and almost certainly indicative of his world view, it is not at the same level as tax evasion, subversion of elections, and the destruction of our political system. You are not the only one to think it should be on there though.
