(BTW, I’m not recommending giving a cat a bath to ANYONE! In most cases it’s not necessary or good for a cat. There are exceptions and this is what I’m doing... Don’t want anyone to go grab Fluffy and stick her in a sink!)<<<

That is exactly what I did, about 60 years ago, when an old Siamese appeared at my house, from the canyon.

The book said he needed a bath, so in my nightgown, in the middle of the night, I filled the bathtub and put him in it.

I still have scars.

A scared Siamese is a real wild critter...

When I was taking pilot training, they had a Siamese who was everybody’s pet - One day, while one of the students had the plane door open while he did his pre-flight inspection, the cat got in the plane... All was fine until he lifted off the ground and the cat went berserk. He swears the cat was running round and round on the windows and every time it went past him it lashed out at his face.

We saw it from the ground and couldn’t figure what was going on - plane took off and started bobbling all over the place - we fully expected it to crash - he finally got it back on the ground and he had to have a whole bunch of stitches on his face and neck from it.

We just trapped a feral cat and took her to the vet for neutering.(There is an organization here that pays part of the cost.) Brought her home last night and she slept (???) in the cage in our bedroom all night. Early this A.M. we released her per the vet’s orders and she was one unhappy cat!! Took off like a bat out of you know what. Probably won’t be back for a handout for a few days. Now only two more to go. Wish people from the local campground wouldn’t just drop off their unwanted animals when they leave in the fall.
