I can vouch for the urine as a deterrent. Also, dog hair is a good deterrent. When I had a dog, I would save his brushings and in the spring, just put a few hairs down in the forming bud in each of my tulips. Worked like a charm. Before using dog hair, the deer would snap off the bud of every tulip just prior to its blooming. Love the deer and feed them fall and spring prior to them yarding up and after breaking yard. Hubby says I am just encouraging deer ticks but I notice he puts out feed too.

By the way, got some not so good pics of my “butcher's wheel” but now am having trouble downloading them. It's fearsome, getting old and forgetting the things that previously were routine. Maybe daughter will be here tonight and give me a hand.

Much as I hate to admit it, these kids are a whiz on these electronics..... That coming from an old geezer who started programming on an IBM 1401 in Assembler language back in 1966...

Really look forward to seeing it and making it so you can post it to all.
