I agree, lula, this is an interesting thread.
I personally can’t stand to watch or listen to him. He literally makes my skin crawl. And I felt that way even before his candidacy to the White House was announced. There’s something truly repulsive about him.
Assuming subliminals are being used by Zero’s handlers when he speaks, maybe the subliminals only work on certain people, ie., some people are only irritated by the subliminals, whereas on others the subliminals used will get the desired effect. After all, even aspirin works differently on different people. Why shouldn’t subliminals be the same?
OTOH, I have been hypnotized and I resisted it. Didn't really work. Later, I told the doctor I had tried to resist. He said everyone is hypnotizable and the more creative or intellectual one is, the easier it is.
However, I do not think it works as well over the TV. Too many distractions in your home, you are on your own turf and confident, no reinforcement from the surrounding crowd and no way for him to know your reaction and gauge his effect. Also, with the medical hypnosis, you had to listen to a tape a couple of times a day which was basically the hypnotism rant. if you didn't get the reinforcement, you would gradually reassert your own will in the matter.
I think it gives him an edge combined with the rallies, the peer pressure among his followers and, of course, all the fraud.
If we do have elections in 2010, I think we all need to vote in person on election day. I believe that the absentee votes can be too easily set aside or invalidated and the early voting gives the opposition information on how many votes they have to manufacture. Nothing anyone can do in the all vote by mail states, though. I am unsure about poll participation, but perhaps it is best to lie and make them overconfident. I do think we should participate in exit polls because those are used as proof that more people voted donk, so the real results are in doubt from the beginning. I also think we need to sign up for election/poll worker jobs and, starting ASAP, change registration in states that require party ID to *unaffiliated*. Registering as a Democrat to screw with the primaries may be a necessary tactic, but I am unsure if it works and, if there are more Dem registrations than Dem votes, it enables the donks to contest the vote. If their party ID declines, they may panic. Panicked people make mistakes.
Thanks for the quotes, ETL.
Apparently the Perfect Storm of Communism, Socialism and anti-Americanism has come upon us.
These hypnotic techniques are but one weapon.
The Cloward-Piven strategy, where you overwhelm people with crisises until their defenses fail, is another technique we need to be aware of.
The fellow travelers are feeling their oats and must be countered at every turn.
I used to wonder how an educated, technologically advanced society could fall in under a Hitler.
I don't any longer.
Let’s watch his speeches on the stump over the next two days.
The imperative commands will be flowing. The crisis, the impending doom if we don’t act—the appeal will be to emotion and not to logic.
Your post is very apt to this subject.
The ability to “trigger” responses—i.e. the wolf packs—is not so far fetched anymore.
Yes, the weak and the young, with their unformed life views, are very susceptible to these suggestions and manipulation.
And just who are Zero’s most ardent supporters?
Great link—thanks.
“Yes, there are imbeciles all around us who voted for the idiot”
The same ones who couldnt differentiate between Tina Fey and Sarah Palin.
No wonder they fall prey to subliminal and non-verbal cues.
That is the foundation of leftist liberalism.
Great movie!
We need to wake these fools up.
This is America they are destroying with their Obama worship.
Someday we’ll know who the owners are.
Now, the teleprompter is used because these speeches are carefully constructed.
We see how he gets in deep kimchee every time he deviates from the script.
And that's the truth!
Obama’s “Change” message has nothing to do with muslims or islam. Change = socialist or communist takeover. He didn’t invent the slogan. It’s been around for many decades. Please see my post #22.
I can’t speak for Eva but I know I got “off topic.” I was trying to say that the cadence he has while speaking (with a teleprompter) was very annoying! It’s that “bad preacher” style that grates on me. I guess if I try hard enough I could understand how those with no brain cells could be drawn into his “message.” He is the ULTIMATE socialist and not worth my good spit.
Believe me, I pray for our country...
P.S. I’m sorry this wasn’t included in my last post...your post #22 was excellent! I’m bookmarking this thread.
Thanks, again.
You’re right about the ignorant ones who couldn’t differentiate between Fey and Palin.
You would not believe the numbers of people I’ve talked to who insisted Palin said she was a foreign policy expert because she could see Russia from her window. These people didn’t believe me when I told them Fey said that, not Palin.
These people still rely on TV to get their information. They told me all the details about Joe the Plumber’ life, but not one person could tell me what bills Zero sponsored either as a State or US Senator.
One person was quite proud of herself for not owning a computer, let alone using one to get the information on such an important election. She actually said, “Hey, Katie Couric wouldn’t lie! Or Tom Brokaw! He wrote a book about the WWII generation, he wouldn’t lie to us!!! Why would he lie to us?”
It’s scary out there. Very scary.
My tag line is Change - the post modern euphemism for Marxist Revolution.
Opps! Sorry, didn’t see it. I was basically referring to all the Obama-muslim references we still hear today. The guy is a hardcore leftist, not a muslim. Of course the two groups are allied in their hatred of freedom and of us. But the whole “Change” thing, as you clearly do know, is about Marxist takeover, not converting America to an islamic state. There are more than a few people who actually think that is what Obama is about.
