Good guy. He had one of the biggest deals on TV with NBC when he had his variety show. Someone asked him if he really drank like that and he said something like “would NBC pay me so much money if I was really a drunk?”
He probably had a better voice than Sinatra but Frank had better material. Poor Dean was devastated when Dino died in a F-4 crash while he was serving in the Air National Guard. Dean never really recovered from it.
