So help me here.
I have a CCW for Georgia. Where should I carry my pistol? Should I buy a shoulder holster and always wear a vest? I’ve got the gun and the clip in my purse, but that’s not going to help in a situation like this, I’d need to have the gun easily available.
Plus, if I were in her situation, I’d need to stop walking as soon as I heard the running footsteps behind me, grab a flashlight and remove the pistol from the holster and just stand there ready for the girls to come closer.
And be ready to use the gun.
BUT what if the boys in the car had pistols? If I’d stopped and prepared myself for confrontation, they might have had a target for their bullets.
Explain what the proper gun-tottin’ etiquette for this situation, someone.
My wife’s CCW pistol is a KelTec .380 semiautomatic. You can literally hide it in the palm of your hand, or in a jeans pocket. You can hide it anywhere! You can even get a clip that attaches to its grip to clip it to your waistband.
A little .380 READY AT HAND is much better than a bigger pistol buried in your purse.
I'm no expert. When out and about, I carry a stout cane with a brass horse hame handle and something stronger in my pocket. I stay aware and consider my surroundings for potential points of attack and defensive positions. Then again, I live in a mean ass city. You could be showing that you'll not be an easy target with one hand while calling 911 with the other. Even a woman would probably not want to have to explain 3 dead or wounded teenage girls.
