Rush went on vacation to remove himself from the Limelight so that the democrates can self destruct without useing him as a Whipping Boy!

Even the fool Bill Clinton was smart enough not to stoop to that level. As I see it, the chosen one calling out Rush, confirms my thought that his ego is massive and he is a spoiled, immature person.

Not possible — Rush had this vacation planned over a year ago, so he couldn’t even have known who would be in the WH, let alone the current circumstances.
It’s certainly plausible. He’s done his job in the latest controversy, no more needed to be said by him.
Whether planned or not, it’s still working (but I love listening to Jason Lewis, too), and Rush deserves a vacation. He’s been hard at it for some time here. Enjoy yourself, Rushie!!

Downside = Jason Lewis. I am forced to listen to Glenn Beck when he’s on.

I know he explained about “Needing Time Away”.
It just seems that I've NEVER known him to leave for more than a week at a time, and this last week has been more than conservatives could hope for so soon after Obama’s Inauguration.
Geeze - Doesn’t anyone here realize that Rush is a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan and was more than likely enjoying his time off in a VIP boothe at the Super Bowl? I imagine Rush invited many friends and family members down to visit and enjoy the occassion.

You have to admit, you would have to love what you were doing to keep doing this year after year.
It only took Mark Steyn one hour of Rush’s show today before the news came that Daschle had resigned. He was simply hilarious that first hour...his bit about Daschle’s limo possibly hitting a “Dickensonian urchin on his crutch” and needing a good welfare hospital was one I’ll never forget...and he lamented that he had two more hours of material left when the news broke that Tiny Tom was done.
Steyn will be doing Rush’s show again tomorrow. Don’t miss it.

You too must admit that it was a nice touch to stir up a fight with Obama by offering a Obama/Limbaugh option to the stimulus, and then letting it grow while going on vacation.

On Chris Wallace’s interview with BO aired this evening, Wallace asked him why he had told Republicans they should stop listening to Limbaugh. BO flashed that phony grin and asked Wallace where he had heard that he had said that, as much as denying it, even though it was widely reported. He is so lame.
“Steyn will be doing Rush’s show again tomorrow. Don’t miss it.”
Mark Steyn is a master of words. He reminds me of what Tagert (Slim Pickens) said in “Blazing Saddles”: (To Headley Lamarr) “You use your tongue prettier than a twenty dollar whore.”
No. He went on vacation to play golf.
