Rand tended to deal with archetypes embodied as individuals: Unfailing sharp-edged examples in every waking moment, from birth to death. In fact, these archetypes are available to each individual. Their expression really only depend on recognition of the traits, desire to emulate them, and concentration to bring forth its characteristic strengths.
No matter who you are, you *can* be Hank Rearden, or John Galt. You *must* be. We all must be, before this creeping collectivist oligarchy successfully outlaws the use and even concept of the word "I".
