You said — “That said, but had processes, techniques, and methods in place to prevent another attack (within the law). I’m afraid that Obama will dismantle the protections that Bush put in place, making us all more vulnerable than we’ve been in the past.”

Back in 1998, I remember reading about the declaration of war upon the U.S. by Osama in Ladin. The overwhelming majority of the public didn’t know and didn’t care. And if they did know, they just laughed...

The ones who weren’t laughing were the experts and the military people and some others in government and in Congress, as they held hearings back then on the issue and said (in those hearings) that something needed to be done.

And about that time Steven Emerson and his information about the terrorists came out and he was literally “blackballed” from the news and was hammered on for being a hate-monger, against the “peace-loving Muslims” (which I hope people have finally changed their minds about that, by now...).

So, if there is any kind of problem, it’s a problem with the public and their *apathy* and *complacency*....

That will get them “dead” in short order.

You said it earlier, "The overwhelming majority of the public didn’t know and didn’t care. And if they did know, they just laughed..."

And that was because the MSM didn't tell them. And why didn't the MSM tell them? Because a Democrat was in the White House. The same MSM that made the homeless disappear until a Republican moved in in 2001.

So, the terrorist threat was non-existent until 2000, then it was over-hyped, propaganda, and election scare tactics from 2001-2008, and will disappear from public view again now that Obama is in the White House.

And once out of sight and out of mind, the public will go back to "didn't know and didn’t care. And if they did know, they just laughed..." until the next attack.
